Makes 12 cookies.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups unbleached white flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened (if you have time)
- 1/2 cup shortening (or 1/2 cup more butter)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (or 3/4 more granulated sugar)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup rolled oats (or 1/2 cup more flour)
- 1 bag chocolate (or alternative) chips
- 1 handful walnuts (optional)
- 1 handful whatever else (I like cranberries)
Preparation:
- Preheat over to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix all together.
- Place spoonful of dough on tin foil on baking sheet (shiny side up).
- Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes. (Do not over-bake.)
